The different ranges of New Balance women's tennis shoes

Despite its reputation in several sports, the New Balance brand only recently launched into tennis. The latter is acquiring more and more professional players like Jérémy Chardy or Milos Raonic. In order to satisfy the needs of all tennis players, the brand is developing several ranges of shoes which have a mixed sole in order to play on clay as well as on hard surfaces. New Balance tennis shoe models specially adapted for clay court play will, however, be distinguished from other models by their outsole equipped with an entirely chevron-shaped pattern.

The New Balance shoes best known by tennis players are certainly the 996. They are a stable and comfortable model and have the FuelCell midsole for better cushioning and a good level of rebound.

We will also find at New Balance the Lav range (lion in Serbian), developed in collaboration with the player Milos Raonic. The tennis shoes in this range are dynamic and suitable for players looking for comfort and support.

New Balance shoe technologies

Whether to improve the cushioning, stability or durability of its shoes, the New Balance brand is developing several technologies that it integrates into its shoe models:

  • Fresh Foam: midsole composed of a honeycomb construction which provides excellent cushioning, a lot of comfort in play and great stability when moving;
  • FuelCell: nitrogen injection into the midsole foam for better cushioning;
  • Kinetic Stitch: stitching made on both sides of the shoe to provide superior support during lateral movements;
  • N-Dure: reinforcement on the inside of the foot to improve the resistance of the shoe and its lifespan;
  • N-Durance: outsole reinforced with carbon for better abrasion resistance;
  • Hypoknit: specific material making up the upper to provide flexibility while maintaining close support for the foot.
