The X-Match method: objective advice based on data

Choosing a racket or string usually comes down to 3 unreliable sources: manufacturer reviews (marketing-driven), YouTube reviews (generic, contradictory) or your mate's opinion (useful but not universal). X-Match offers a 4th way: objective measurement. 

X-Compare: testing to quantify 

Every racket and every string we list is measured on a test rig to assess its real-world properties: power output, directional control, spin generation, shock transmission to the arm, durability. These measurements feed an in-house database of several hundred products. 

A directional algorithm

X-Match doesn't offer you "the best racket" or "the best string" (no such absolute ranking exists). It offers you the models best suited to your profile: your priority axes, your level, your style. The same racket that's perfect for one player might not suit another at all. No commercial bias. Our tool doesn't push one brand over another. If the lab data shows a Yonex suits your profile better than a Babolat, that's what you'll see, even if our margins differ. The goal: for you to play better, not for us to sell more.

How does X-Match work?
X-Match asks you a series of short questions (around 60s) about your level, playing style and priorities. Based on your answers, the tool cross-references your criteria with our X-Compare lab database and recommends the rackets or strings best suited to your profile.
Is my data stored?
No. X-Match is a 100% anonymous tool: no personal data is requested or stored. Your answers are only used to calculate the recommendation and aren't kept on any server.
Is it really free?

What is X-Compare data?
X-Compare is our in-house lab testing programme. Every racket and every string listed at Extreme Tennis is measured on a test rig to assess its real-world properties (power, control, spin, comfort, etc.) beyond manufacturers' marketing figures.
What's the difference between Find and Optimise?
Find is for identifying the right gear when you're starting from scratch or want to discover a new brand. Optimise is for upgrading gear you already know: you tell us your current racket or string, and the tool suggests targeted upgrades (more power, more control, more comfort, etc.).
What criteria is the recommendation based on?
For rackets: 7 axes (power, control, spin, comfort, manoeuvrability, forgiveness, stability) plus weight, string pattern and head size. For strings: 5 axes (power, control, spin, comfort, durability) plus material (poly/multi/gut), gauge and compatibility with your racket.
