What is a padel wrist strap?

A padel wrist strap is the safety cord that links the racket handle to your wrist, stopping the racket from flying off during a smash or a hard swing. It is mandatory in competition and protects both you and the players around you. Don't confuse it with the string or with a sweatband — nor with padel grips, which are a different accessory.

How to choose

There are three main styles: braided cords for maximum strength, adjustable velcro straps, and interchangeable systems such as the Nox SmartStrap Luxury.
