Many professional players have chosen to trust the French brand Babolat based in Lyon. Indeed, Rafael Nadal, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jo Wilfried Tsonga, Garbine Muguruza and many other players have opted for a Babolat frame to perform on the court.
A little history
After more than 100 years in the world of stringing and racket accessories, Babolat created its first range of tennis rackets: the Babolat Pure Drive. Several models in this range were then available. Pierre Babolat invented a racket that went against the grain of the frames of the time. Indeed, they were all oriented on ball control with a closed string pattern. With the Pure Drive, Babolat created a power-oriented racket with an open string pattern. The revolution started and the frames were launched in Spain (1995), Italy (1996), Austria (1997) and Germany (1998). Then the rackets will cover the world market with Japan in 1999 and the United States in 2000. Since then, the Pure Drive has become the best-selling racket in the world!
The different ranges
There are 4 ranges of Babolat competition tennis rackets to cover all styles of play. The PURE AERO range offers excellent spin and power. Lifters who want to push their opponents back will have a weapon of choice in their hand! Rafael Nadal, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Benoit Paire all use this legendary racket. The Babolat PURE DRIVE range provides explosive power and manoeuvrability. This range is very easy to access and suits a wide range of players. It is played by Fabio Fognini, Lucas Pouille and Garbine Muguruza. Babolat's PURE STRIKE racquet line offers control and precision without sacrificing power and spin. It is ideal for the puncher like Dominic Thiem who uses this range. Finally, there is the Babolat VS range of racket which offers a lot of precision.
Accessories
Making the right choice of string is important to optimize the performance of your frame. The Babolat RPM Blast string is versatile and will fit most Babolat frames from 285 grams. Babolat VS hoses will provide you with great feel and ultimate comfort. Contact our team to find out which string is best suited to your Babolat racket and your playing style. Use Babolat bags to protect your racket. Use an anti-vibrator to limit vibrations and remember to change your grip or overgrip regularly to optimize the feel.
What technologies are available in Babolat rackets?
Babolat offers different technologies to constantly improve its rackets. The HTR System technology brings more torsional rigidity to the racket in order to improve the energy restitution and thus gain in power. The SWX Pure Feel is a technology from SMAC that reduces vibrations and therefore improves the comfort of the frame. The FSI Power is a new eyelet shape combined with a string pattern that increases the sweetspot. This gives you more forgiveness, but also more power. Elliptic Frame is an elliptical frame shape in the heart of the racket, which improves torsional resistance for greater stability. Strikes will be more powerful under control.
Limited Editions
Each year you will find a range of limited edition Babolat tennis rackets corresponding to the Wimbledon Grand Slam. The rackets will be branded with the British Grand Slam logo.
