Description

The MiniBUP, ball pressure kept where it should be between sessions

The rubber in a ball is porous: from the moment the tube is opened, pressure escapes little by little, even when you are not playing. Within days the bounce goes flat and the control changes. The MiniBUP reverses that with a built-in compressor that brings the pressure back up and holds it inside the tube.

Who is this product for?

The regular player who opens a fresh tube every two or three sessions and ends up throwing away balls whose felt is still fine. You store your balls in the MiniBUP between sessions and find them at playing pressure. It holds 3 balls for just over a kilo, so it simply replaces your usual tube in the bag.

How it works

  • Automatic mode: the unit monitors pressure and restarts a compression cycle as soon as it drops. This is the mode for spells of two, three or four weeks without playing.
  • Manual mode: you set the value yourself, 28 PSI for tennis and 24 PSI for padel. Handy between two matches close together.
  • Control screen: pressure is displayed in real time, and the valve releases air sharply on opening, confirming straight away that pressure was held.
  • Built-in compressor up to 29 PSI, with a USB-rechargeable battery rated for up to a year between charges. Cable included.
  • Aluminium body, 1.05 kg on the scales, spare seal included and a one-year warranty.

The Extreme Tennis team's view

Let's be clear about what the MiniBUP does: it preserves pressure, it repairs nothing. A ball with worn-down felt stays a worn ball, and no pressuriser changes that. On balls that still look fine but have gone soft, however, it avoids buying replacements too early, and that is where the maths starts to work. The manufacturer quotes three times the ball life: the real gain depends mostly on how consistently you actually put the balls back inside after playing. The habit forms quickly.
