Some methods to help you string your tennis racket

Stringing a tennis racket is simple if the different steps are followed. If the first stringings can be laborious, don't worry! Practice makes perfect! We still advise you to first string with lower-cost strings to familiarize yourself with your machine. The stringing time will quickly decrease, and you'll soon be able to change strings in record time!

Classic method for stringing your racket with 2 knots

This is the most common stringing method for tennis. It allows you to string your racket quickly while ensuring good stringing quality. We recommend a 2-knot stringing for your tennis string, whether monofilament or multifilament. We always start stringing with the mains to preserve the frame (tensioning the crosses first risks deforming or even breaking your racket). For the same reason, we start with the mains (MAIN in English) from the center and work symmetrically to best distribute the tension on the frame. Since the crosses are shorter than the mains, we advise you to lower the tension by one kilo when you start the crosses (CROSS in English).

Stringing method for systematically stringing the cross strings from the top of the frame downwards

Used on the ATP tour, this stringing technique allows for ideal pressure distribution on the frame during the tensioning of the cross strings. This helps to avoid potential deformations or even frame breakage.

Stringing method for stringing your racket with 4 knots

To string a hybrid string (2 different strings in the mains and crosses), it is necessary to use a 4-knot stringing method. This technique is also useful for end-of-reel situations, when you no longer have the necessary length to string your racket.
