X-Compare: our ratings, not the brands'.

Every racket goes through our machines: weight, balance, swingweight, twistweight, stiffness and more. Those readings produce 7 criteria, each rated from 0 to 100. Every model goes through the same method, so you can compare two rackets on a level playing field.

Description

The Dunlop CX 200 Tour 2027, precision for demanding hitters

For 2027, Dunlop moves its CX range towards a more modern kind of control: a frame slightly more flexible inwards, greater stability around the central axis and a new red and neon-red cosmetic. The CX 200 Tour remains the most specialist model: the smallest head in the range (95 sq in), 310 g unstrung, a thin 20.5 mm beam and a 16x19 pattern.

Who is this racket for?

Experienced players who generate their own racket-head speed and want precision. Our X-Compare measurements give it high control, good stability and the best comfort in the CX 2027 range. The trade-off is logical for a small head: forgiveness is low, power moderate and spin average. You need to find the centre, but when you do, the response is crisp and precise. The head-light balance keeps it manoeuvrable at the net.

The technologies explained

  • Sonic Core with Infinergy: a highly elastic BASF material at 3 and 9 o'clock that improves feel and filters vibration.
  • Vibroshield: a dampening layer in the shaft for a cleaner feel.
  • PowerGrid StringTech+: a reworked stringbed layout that distributes power more evenly, especially towards the top of the head.
  • Control Frame Geometry: the box-shaped profile that defines the CX, with a concave area inside the hoop for feel and aerodynamics.

The Extreme Tennis team's verdict

The CX 200 Tour is for players who want to feel every shot and own their trajectories. For a little more forgiveness and spin with the same DNA, the 98 sq in CX 200 is easier day to day. For an even denser control feel, the CX 200 18x20 is the alternative.
