Dunlop CX 400 Tour 2027 (300g) Racket
X-Compare
Description
The Dunlop CX 400 Tour 2027, the CX that takes the initiative
For 2027, Dunlop reinforces the CX 400 Tour with a stiffer layup and greater stability, without abandoning the box profile that defines the CX. 100 sq in head, 300 g unstrung, 23 mm beam and 16x19 pattern, with the new red and neon-red cosmetic. It is often compared with the best-known 300 g all-round rackets on the market.
Who is this racket for?
Intermediate and advanced players who take the ball early and want to dictate rallies. Our X-Compare measurements put it at the top of the range for power, spin, stability and forgiveness: it is the CX that helps most with depth and topspin. Control remains decent but behind the CX 200 models, and manoeuvrability is average. Under pressure it needs a controlled swing to hit small targets.
The technologies explained
- Sonic Core with Infinergy: a highly elastic BASF material at 3 and 9 o'clock that adds power, improves feel and filters vibration.
- Vibroshield: a dampening layer in the shaft.
- PowerGrid StringTech+: a reworked stringbed that spreads power more evenly towards the top of the head and helps spin.
- Control Frame Geometry: the CX box profile, with a concave inner zone for feel and aerodynamics.
The Extreme Tennis team's verdict
The CX 400 Tour is the most complete racket for an ambitious club player who likes to attack with topspin. For more precision and a finer touch, the CX 200 is the next step; for a lighter version, the 285 g CX 400.
