Our test of the Head Sonic Pro string

When we first put the string on, we felt it was very soft, so we expected a powerful string.

On the court, this proves true, as we can feel the trampoline effect of the Head Sonic Pro string as it catapults the ball. Power is the watchword for this string, which is also extremely comfortable. On off-center hits, it performs wonderfully and offers a very even response.

Control, however, is not its strong point. Effects pickup is also a weak point, as we didn't generate a huge number of effects.

The effective lifespan of the Sonic Pro is about average for monofilaments. After several hours of play, we felt a loss of feel.

It's a string that excels on rackets control or closed string patterns.
