Description

The K-Swiss K-Frame Padel, a shoe designed with padel players

The K-Frame is the new technical platform from K-Swiss, rolled out across three shoes built for tennis, padel and pickleball. The padel version was developed with padel players, around a moulded TPU structure under the forefoot and a court specific outsole. Carbon grey and blue colourway.

Who is this shoe for?

It targets the attacking player who changes direction in tight space, strings together lateral supports along the glass and wants stability above all when planting the foot. This is a stability shoe rather than a pure speed shoe: the foot is held firmly, with responsive rather than plush cushioning. It suits players who are on court several times a week and who wear shoes through at the toe and heel.

The technologies explained

  • K-Frame structure: a moulded TPU support piece sitting under the forefoot, limiting torsion and steadying the foot through sharp direction changes.
  • Padel specific outsole: a hard wearing compound drawn for sand dressed artificial turf, with a pivot point that eases rotational movement.
  • Hyper Foam: a new midsole foam, light and highly resilient, built for energy return and comfort across a full match.
  • DragGuard 7.0: outsole reinforcement placed on the toe and heel, the two highest wear areas.
  • Duraprint upper and Durawrap Light: a light, breathable material with reinforcements placed strategically to hold the foot without adding bulk.
  • Mixed eyelet lacing with rubber side inserts, plus a padded collar extended slightly at the rear to lock the heel.

The Extreme Tennis team's view

K-Swiss arrives late to padel, but with a clear stance: rather than adapting a tennis shoe, the brand built a dedicated platform. The K-Frame structure under the forefoot is what stands out most, giving a sense of a rigid floor at the moment you plant the foot. The flip side is a fairly stiff shoe that needs two or three sessions to break in. Worth noting: it carries a padel outsole, not a tennis one, so it is not suited to hard courts.
