Description
The Head Sprint Pro 4.0 White, an all rounder built for speed
In its chalk white and dark grey colourway, the Head Sprint Pro 4.0 remains what it is above all: the lightest shoe in the brand's catalogue, made for players who win points through movement speed rather than raw power.
Who is this shoe for?
The target profile is the regular club player, on the attacking side, who takes the ball early and covers a lot of ground. The foot sits low and the cushioning is distinctly firm: a deliberate choice that brings precision underfoot but calls for a foot used to low cushioned shoes. Standard width fit. The hybrid hard court and clay outsole saves you from buying a second pair in spring.
The technologies explained
- Woven TPU mesh: an upper reworked for strength and breathability with no weight penalty, with HEAD branding built into both sides.
- TRI-NRG: the midsole absorbs at the heel, stiffens through the midfoot for torsional support, then drives forward at the forefoot. Three jobs, one piece.
- New generation EVA foam and a ventilated anti torsion shank: more return on push off, less twisting on off balance steps.
- Delta Strap: triangular straps built into the lacing, present outside as well as inside, so the fit is tuned by how you lace it.
- Drift Defense and HyBrasion+™: armour on the toe and medial forefoot against aggressive toe drags, plus a specific rubber compound for grip.
- All court and clay outsole, Lateral Control and a TPU Heel Stabilizer: grip on both surfaces and a locked heel to limit twisting.
- Cooling System with 360 degree ventilation and a machine washable OrthoLite® insole: a detail that matters on a light colourway.
The Extreme Tennis team's view
White and grey is the most versatile colourway in the series, including for clubs that require light soles and uppers. Technically nothing changes against the other colours: around 343 g in a 42.5, an 8.5 mm drop and serious lateral hold for a shoe this light. The only caveats are upkeep, since a light upper marks quickly on clay, and the minimal cushioning, which will not suit a heavier player or long back to back sessions.
