Description
The K-Swiss Hypercourt Express 3, instant comfort on every surface
The Hypercourt Express 3 is the update to the best selling shoe in the K-Swiss range. It keeps what made it popular, a generous forefoot and plush cushioning straight out of the box, and gains a new midsole. White, carbon grey and blue colourway.
Who is this shoe for?
This is the all rounder par excellence, for the club player who wants comfort above all and has no interest in a break in period. The fit is wide, especially through the forefoot: the right call if you have a broad foot or if competition models pinch. With maximum cushioning and a 10 mm drop, it favours comfort over long sessions rather than a sense of speed. Players chasing snap and ground feel will find it too thick.
The technologies explained
- Surgelite+: the new midsole foam, more comfortable and more responsive than on the Express 2. This is the real change in this generation, absorbing impact better and limiting foot fatigue over long sessions.
- 180 P.S.C.: a thermoplastic bridge wrapping the midfoot through 180 degrees. It reinforces lateral stability on hard planting without stiffening the rest of the shoe.
- Aösta 7.0 outsole: a non marking, high density rubber striking a good balance between grip and wear resistance, on hard courts as well as clay.
- Durawrap Flex and DragGuard: an extra protective layer over the abrasion zones, the toe and medial side, without stiffening the upper.
- Seamfree construction: a seamless synthetic and mesh upper, breathable, with a grip lining at the heel.
- Stay-Tied lacing and an Ortholite insole: laces that stay done up mid match, and an insole with moisture management and an anti microbial treatment.
The Extreme Tennis team's view
This is the shoe we recommend most often to anyone whose feet hurt in their current pair. It needs no break in, the forefoot volume is genuinely generous, and Surgelite+ delivers noticeable plushness from the first steps. The trade off is that you do not buy a Hypercourt for quickness: at around 400 g with a 10 mm drop it stays tall and slightly soft under very hard direction changes. The 180 P.S.C. corrects part of that without turning it into a pure competition shoe.
