The MSV Focus HEX string is a hexagonal-shaped string that provides extra grip and excellent ball control. Winner of several competitions, the MSV Focus Hex string has become a flagship product in the MSV range.

We recommend lowering the tension of the MSV Focus Hex string by 10% compared with a conventional monofilament, due to its high rigidity.

Full description of the MSV Focus Hex string:

The MSV Focus Hex string is made in Taiwan to keep production costs down and offer very affordable prices without neglecting string quality.

Its structure is very rigid for excellent ball control, and its hexagonal shape considerably increases spin grip.

The result is a string that offers virtually the best control/spin ratio.

String tension tip MSV Focus Hex:

tension hold is also excellent. However, you need to be very careful with the stiffness of the MSV Focus Hex string. To take full advantage of the qualities of MSV Focus Hex, it's best to lower the tension by 2 to 3 kilos compared with a conventional monofilament.

As the faces overlap, the contact time is longer, giving you greater ball control. Combined with its high rigidity, control is very much in evidence.

Extreme Tennis:

The MSV Focus Hex string offers enormous control, so don't hesitate to lower the tension by several kilos to get the most out of the string.

Use 1.18 gauge on small headsize strings up to 630cm².

A 1.23 or 1.27 gauge on a headsize 645cm² is judicious.

If you're considered a "bruiser", the 1.23 or 1.27 gauge can be fitted to headsize of 615cm² or more.

We found the string's grip and spin to be much better on the headsize open strings (16/19 strings with headsize 645cm²)

20 - 23 kg i Indicative value for a 645 cm² head size. For a smaller head, subtract 1 kg per 15 cm² less. For a larger head, add 1 kg per 15 cm² more.

    I agree with Maxime S's review. It is good because it provides a lot of control and spin but it is still inferior to the Solinco Tour Bite which provides even more spin but especially more feel. For the small to medium players, it will still do the job :) (Translated review)

    D'accord avec l'avis de Maxime S. Il est bien car il apporte beaucoup de contrôle et d'effet mais il reste inférieur au solinco tour bite qui procure encore plus d'effet mais surtout plus de sensation. Pour les petits moyens, il fera quand même bien l'affaire :)

    Très bonne surprise car cordage qui m'a apporté beaucoup d'effets et de contrôle. Si je le compare au solinco tour bite, j'ai quand même préféré le tour bite car encore plus d'effet et de feeling mais à ce prix là c'est un bon intermédiaire

    Very good surprise as the string has given me a lot of spin and control. If I compare it to the Solinco Tour Bite, I still preferred the Tour Bite for even more spin and feel, but at this price, it's a good intermediate. (Translated review)
