We recommend lowering the tension of the MSV Focus Hex string by 10% compared with a conventional monofilament, due to its high rigidity.

The MSV Focus Hex string is made in Taiwan to keep production costs down and offer very affordable prices without neglecting string quality.

Its structure is very rigid for excellent ball control, and its hexagonal shape considerably increases spin grip.

The result is a string that offers virtually the best control/spin ratio.

String tension tip MSV Focus Hex:

tension hold is also excellent. However, you need to be very careful with the stiffness of the MSV Focus Hex string. To take full advantage of the qualities of MSV Focus Hex, it's best to lower the tension by 2 to 3 kilos compared with a conventional monofilament.

As the faces overlap, the contact time is longer, giving you greater ball control. Combined with its high rigidity, control is very much in evidence.

Extreme Tennis:

The MSV Focus Hex string offers enormous control, so don't hesitate to lower the tension by several kilos to get the most out of the string.

Use 1.18 gauge on small headsize strings up to 630cm².

A 1.23 or 1.27 gauge on a headsize 645cm² is judicious.

If you're considered a "bruiser", the 1.23 or 1.27 gauge can be fitted to headsize of 615cm² or more.

We found the string's grip and spin to be much better on the headsize open strings (16/19 strings with headsize 645cm²)
