Polyfibre Hexablade 12m Tennis String
A uniquely structured monofilament string, the Hexablade offers a distinctively soft and muted feel, prioritising finesse and touch over raw power or aggressive spin.
Polyfibre Hexablade: Precision Touch and Muted Control
The Polyfibre Hexablade stands out as a structured monofilament string primarily engineered for exceptional feel upon impact. Despite its six-sided profile, its key attribute is a prolonged ball contact time rather than a pronounced ability to generate aggressive spin. This extended dwell time delivers a muted, plush feel on contact, making it highly appealing for players who favour varied shots, delicate drop shots, or precise control at the net.
Unlike many textured monofilaments, the Hexablade isn't designed to boost power or heavy topspin. It offers limited power potential and a moderated level of control, which might be an unexpected characteristic for players accustomed to stiffer, more reactive stringbeds.
Superior Comfort and Gentle Impact Sensation
This Polyfibre string excels in providing exceptional playing comfort. It delivers a softer sensation than the average monofilament, making it a wise choice for players prone to arm sensitivity or those simply seeking a more forgiving playing experience. Even on off-centre hits, the feedback remains remarkably tolerant and comfortable.
Despite its hexagonal shape, the Hexablade exhibits a lack of snapback, which inherently limits its capacity for generating heavy rotation. Consequently, it is best suited for technical players who rely on precise placement and touch, rather than aggressive topspin hitters.
Extreme Tennis Review: Polyfibre Hexablade Performance
From the very first strokes, the string provides a plush and fluid connection with the ball. The ball leaves the stringbed smoothly, devoid of any harsh catapult effect or excessive rigidity. This is a string that encourages a slower pace, strategic shot placement, and a focus on shot variation rather than sheer force. Players who prioritise feel and nuanced touch control will find this string highly rewarding.
Conversely, players who rely heavily on topspin or flat, powerful drives may find the limited rotation capabilities and lack of raw punch to be a drawback. The Hexablade is tailored for a thoughtful, technical game style, where comfort and feel are paramount over brute power.

Hello, a feedback on this string that I am discovering. Good comfort for sure but on soft and slow balls, too flexible and you lose control. Balls go out or fly into the fences if you want to accelerate them. However, on fast balls, it allows you to control them well. In fact, you need rhythm to have good sensations with this string. Maybe you need to increase the tension! Tension 25 on a yonex dr 100 Best regards (Translated review)
