Our Signum Pro Firestorm string test

Power and control

This string is more about control than power. You'll be extremely precise with every stroke. To access power more easily, lower your usual tension by 10% ( Signum Pro recommendation).

Spin

spin remains classic for a semi-rigid monofilament string like this.

Comfort and tolerance

Assuming that Firestorm is a semi-rigid monofilament, we can say that it offers good playing comfort. Tolerance is average, and vibrations can be felt on off-center balls. You'll also need good striking ability to regain length on off-center balls. To improve tolerance, you can slightly lower your usual tension.

Durability and tension hold

Thanks to its molecular structure, Firestorm string has a good tension hold. As for service life, it's decent and similar to a standard monofilament.

Sensation / feel / stiffness

On heavy hits, the string's qualities are amply expressed, with an excellent feel. Don't hesitate to test the 1.20 gauge to better exploit the string's intrinsic qualities.

Tip Extreme Tennis:

Don't hesitate to lower your usual tension for greater forgiveness and power. You can also opt for the 1.20 gauge for a better feel and sensation.

WHAT TYPE OF PLAYER IS THE SIGNUM PRO FIRESTORM DESIGNED FOR?

We recommend this reference to players looking for control in their game to counterbalance innate power or a lack of control linked to a technique in need of perfecting.

Players with strong hitting qualities and natural power. The control offered by this string will enable you to balance the whole. Firestorm will also appeal to forward-thinking players who like to finish points on the fly and need a lot of control and touch.
