Solinco Hyper G Soft 200m Reel

Solinco Hyper G Soft 200m reel

The Solinco Hyper G Soft string is a top-of-the-range monofilament that incorporates everything that has made the Hyper G classic so successful: spin and precision. The plus? It's softer than its big brother, for greater comfort and playability.

Indeed, Solinco has tweaked the softness of Hyper G Soft to maximize comfort and forgiveness without losing control and feel.

The result is a more accessible string that will delight a wide range of players.

The soft version of Hyper G naturally retains its distinctive green color.

The 1.25 gauge will suit most players thanks to its versatility and good resistance. For maximum feel and ball speed, you can opt for a 1.20 or 1.25 gauge 1.15.

Big breakers will opt for Hyper G Soft 1.30 for greater durability.

The recommended tension for this string Solinco is 23kg. Even though it's softer and more comfortable than the classic version, we don't recommend over-tensioning Hyper G Soft (no more than 25kg). If you're looking for comfort and a little more control, you may want to consider the Solinco Confidential.

Our test of Solinco Hyper G Soft:

After winning over powerful players with good arm speed and no need for absolute comfort, Solinco has set out to make its strings more playable and gentler on the arm.

The Hyper G Soft was born with this in mind.

Following in the footsteps of the brand's structured monofilaments, it offers tremendous spin and control. However, we did notice a gain in comfort and greater tolerance.

Power is also more accessible.

Our arm likes it and it's clear that the Hyper G Soft is more affordable than the classic version. It will suit competitors looking to take some of the strain off their arm, as well as intermediate players wanting maximum spin and plenty of control without sacrificing playability.
