Description

Reel Babolat RPM Team

The Babolat RPM Team string is a monofilament with the same octagonal structure as the range's benchmark: the RPM BLAST.

What's the difference between RPM BLAST and RPM TEAM?

The RPM TEAM is much softer, offering more power, comfort, forgiveness and spin. However, it offers less ball control.

We therefore recommend the RPM TEAM to players who want more comfort and ball speed while retaining good ball spin.

Our string test Babolat RPM Team

Power and control

The RPM Team is actually softer than the Blast. As a result, it gives you more power. The ball comes off the racket very quickly, giving you excellent acceleration. Nevertheless, control is also a must for lifters thanks to its octagonal structure, which enables your balls to fall back faster and stay within the boundaries of the court. Flatter players will lack a little control.

Spin grip

Ball grip isn't exceptional, but ball rotation is excellent, helping to make the ball heavier. What's more, this string benefits from a very good snapback, which allows the string to be replaced more quickly after impact, thus increasing lift.

Comfort and forgiveness

The Babolat RPM Team string is more supple and therefore much more comfortable to hit than the Rpm Blast. On off-center hits, the string's tolerance is excellent. The string's response is homogeneous, the ball goes quickly and there's no violent vibration in the forearm.

Durability and tension hold

This softened version loses tension relatively faster than the classic version. The RPM Team's resistance to breakage is quite high for its level of flexibility. Don't hesitate to go for a 1.30 gauge for greater durability.

Feel/feel/stiffness

The suppleness of this string provides an excellent feeling of comfort when striking. In fact, its very low stiffness accentuates the feel on each of your ball strikes.

Tip Extreme Tennis:

We recommend that you re-string every 10 hours of play at most, to retain the benefits of this string. We also recommend increasing the tension by 1kg if you're coming from a stiffer Rpm Blast. This string is also ideal for use on all types of headsize and stringing surfaces.

WHO SHOULD USE THIS STRING?

We recommend this reference to players looking for a flexible string offering power, comfort and spin. Players switching to a monofilament string for the first time can look forward to the Rpm Team, which will meet their expectations while remaining comfortable.

WHAT TYPE OF GAME IS THE BABOLAT RPM TEAM DESIGNED FOR?

It's ideal for traditional baseline players looking for comfort and power in their game to counter or make the rally last as long as possible.

Where does the RPM Team string fit into the Babolat range?

This string offers more power and comfort than the Rpm Blast. On the other hand, control is not as good as with Rpm Power.

Then, in terms of spin, it's on a par with the Rpm Blast but behind the Blast Rough in terms of ball grip.

Finally, it's one of the most comfortable of the Babolat monofilament range.

Super mono souple, celui que je vais adopter probablement. Très bon compromis spin/confort/puissance je trouve. Le rpm blast prend plus les effets mais est moins confortable pour le bras.

Super soft mono, the one I will probably adopt. Very good compromise spin/comfort/power I find. The rpm blast takes more effects but is less comfortable for the arm. (Translated review)

I am won over because it is not too hard for a mono and you can feel the ball well. The effects are very good and the control is present. I strung it at 23 kilos, it will be my string now. (Translated review)

Je suis conquis car il n'est pas trop dur pour un mono et on sent bien la balle. Les effets sont très bons et le contrôle présent. Je l'ai cordé à 23 kilos, ce sera mon cordage maintenant.
