Dunlop CX 200 18x20 2027 (305g) Racket
X-Compare
Description
The Dunlop CX 200 18x20 2027, maximum control in the CX range
Launched as a limited edition in 2025, the CX 200 18x20 now joins the regular line-up. It shares the 2027 CX 200 mould, 98 sq in head, 305 g unstrung and a 21.5 mm beam, but with a dense 18x20 pattern for a tighter response. The new generation brings a frame slightly more flexible inwards and greater stability, with a red and neon-red cosmetic.
Who is this racket for?
Experienced players who hit hard and want to keep the ball in the court. Our X-Compare measurements give it the highest control in the range, good stability and pleasant manoeuvrability thanks to its head-light balance. The dense pattern comes at a cost: spin is the lowest of the CX models, forgiveness too, and comfort is average. It suits a flat or lightly topspun game with penetrating trajectories.
The technologies explained
- 18x20 string pattern: a dense stringbed for lower trajectories and greater precision.
- Sonic Core with Infinergy: a highly elastic BASF material at 3 and 9 o'clock for feel and vibration filtering.
- Vibroshield: a dampening layer in the shaft.
- Control Frame Geometry: the CX box profile, with a concave inner zone for feel and aerodynamics.
The Extreme Tennis team's verdict
The CX 200 18x20 is for players who want to aim at the lines without fearing the long miss. If you play with heavy topspin, the 16x19 CX 200 will give you much more spin with control that is still excellent. For a more comfortable feel, the CX 200 Tour is the alternative.
