The Wilson Rush Pro 5 CTC carries over the build of the Rush Pro 5, the most balanced shoe in the Wilson range, in the white and red colours of the City Tennis Collection. An all-court shoe that favours comfort and quick recoveries over outright rigidity.

Who is this shoe for?

The regular player who trains often and wants one shoe for everything, without the demanding side of a carbon-plated model. It weighs 383 g in size 42.5 with a 9 mm drop, on a standard-width fit. Sizes run from EU 40 to 46 2/3 with third-size increments.

The technologies explained

• TPU Speed Plate and a TPU stability chassis at the heel and midfoot: the plate speeds up transitions while the chassis handles lateral control on hard planting.
• EndoFit support and Ceramic 5D reinforcement: a full internal sock for a precise fit, plus a light ceramic overlay that protects the shoe through slides and sharp stops.
• R-DST+ midsole with High Rebound EVA in the forefoot: a dual-density layer balancing cushioning and energy return, with a softer zone for weight transfer.
• Drop-In Performance insole in moulded supercritical EVA: reactive cushioning and comfort that holds up over a full match.
• High-abrasion Duralast outsole and a double-layer mesh upper: traction on every surface, breathability and targeted support.

The Extreme Tennis team's view

This is the model to recommend when you are torn within the Rush range. Where the Rush Tour 5 relies on a carbon plate and maximum stability at the cost of a stiffer feel, the Rush Pro 5 uses a TPU plate and a dual-density midsole: less locked down on extreme planting, but noticeably more comfortable from the first session, with no break-in period. With the Duralast compound and the Ceramic 5D reinforcement it holds up well on hard courts. It is the right compromise for two to four sessions a week.
