Still In Black X12 Rough 120m String Reel

Still In Black X12 Rough is the textured version of the X12, the most powerful model in the X range. Like the whole series, it is a 100% polyamide monofilament developed in France with a world-leading polyamide monofilament specialist, built around Dual Dynamics® technology.

Dual Dynamics®: a cushioning core, a propelling skin

The core of the string cushions ball impact and absorbs vibrations for comfort and feel. The highly elastic outer skin stores energy and releases it as it contracts, like a spring. The result: a long, soft impact, plenty of power and high tolerance on off-centre hits, with a rather crisp, monofilament-like feel.

Why the Rough version?

The smooth X12 stands out for power and comfort, but it is not a topspin string. The Rough finish adds a textured surface designed to grip the ball better, without changing the string's character.

Which players is it for?

X12 Rough is aimed at players used to multifilaments and polyester users with low breakage rates, looking for comfort, easy power and arm protection. Its breakage resistance remains limited: frequent breakers can use it in a hybrid, in the crosses, with their polyester in the mains.
