The Tecnifibre Level Up 23 is aimed at children measuring 125 to 135 cm, roughly 6 to 8 years old. It is the middle size in the range, the one where a child starts building genuine rallies. Developed with Tecnifibre's coaches and the TecniLab, it weighs 200 g with a 600 cm² head and a 16x19 pattern. Supplied strung, in orange and white.

What sets it apart

• 600 cm² head: a generous face for a 23 inch frame, forgiving still-imprecise contact while preparing for the adult format.
• Two-tone grip: the two colours show where to place the hand, so the child finds the grip again unaided between points.

The 23 inch is often where parents hesitate, because children grow fast and the temptation is to size up. That is a mistake: a racket that is too long distorts the swing, and the child compensates by shortening the motion, which is then painful to correct. Measure, and follow the 125-135 cm range.
