Description

The 21 inch from the Iga Swiatek range, light and manoeuvrable

The Tecnifibre Tempo IGA 21 is the starter racket for players aged 5 to 6. Designed with Tecnifibre's coaches and the TecniLab, it puts manoeuvrability first: just 185 g, with a 543 cm² head. Co-designed with Iga Swiatek, who personally chose the line's blue and purple and its glossy finish.

What sets it apart

  • Just 185 g: the light weight is what lets a child learn the right swing pattern rather than fight the racket's mass.
  • Two-tone grip: the two colours guide hand placement on the handle, a cue the child finds again unaided between points.
  • Slimmer beam section: it contains returned power, helping manage a reduced court and transition balls.
  • 16x17 string pattern and a 255 mm balance: the racket does not pull forward and stays easy to swing.
  • Dampener included and an aluminium frame: comfort at impact and a frame that takes knocks.
  • Blue and purple colourway, Iga Swiatek's two favourite colours, in a glossy finish.

The Extreme Tennis team's take

One useful point before buying: the Tempo IGA 21 and the Level Up 21 share exactly the same frame. Same weight, same head, same length, same balance, same string pattern and same recommended price. The only difference is the cosmetic: Iga Swiatek blue and purple on one, unisex blue and white on the other. The choice is purely about taste, and at this age that is no small thing: a racket a child likes is a racket she wants to pick up again. Go by the child's height rather than her age, the 110-125 cm range remains the right reference. Two-year warranty.
