Description

The 25 inch Iga Swiatek, the last one before competition

The Tecnifibre Tempo IGA 25 is aimed at players aged 8 to 11. With its 645 cm² head, 100 square inches, it already reaches the face of a versatile adult racket. It is the largest starter size in the range, designed with Tecnifibre's coaches and the TecniLab. 230 g, 305 mm balance, 16x19 string pattern.

What sets it apart

  • 645 cm² head: this is the adult format. The player gets used to the face she will meet on her next racket, making the transition far less abrupt.
  • 230 g: the weight rises from the 23 inch but stays well below an adult frame, so the arm does not tire through a full lesson.
  • 305 mm balance: the racket gains length without becoming head-heavy.
  • Slimmer beam section: it channels power, useful at an age when the player already hits hard without controlling everything.
  • Dampener included and an aluminium frame: comfort matters more as ball speed rises.
  • In the Iga Swiatek line's colours, with a glossy finish.

The Extreme Tennis team's take

This is the last aluminium racket in the IGA range. The next step up, the Tempo IGA 26, changes category: graphite frame, markedly higher price, competition focus. The right guide for knowing when to make that move is playing frequency rather than height. A player going to the club once a week will be well served by this 25 until she reaches 150 cm. One training three times a week and starting tournaments already benefits from moving to graphite, even at the same size. Two-year warranty.
