Tecnifibre Triax 12m String
Tecnifibre continues to shake up the world of tennis with a string at the crossroads of monofilament and multifilament: Triax! Discover this ultra-versatile, comfortable string!
Reel Tecnifibre Triax
Tecnifibre Triax is the first multifilament set based on copolyester fiber (used in monofilament design) and polyurethane.
The French brand perfectly combines the advantages of multifilament and monofilament with Multifilament Poly-Fusion technology.

In concrete terms, what can you expect with this new reference?
More durability than a classic multifilament (+50%), more comfort than a classic monofilament (+15% shock absorption), more comfort than a classic multifilament (+15% shock absorption), more comfort than a classic monofilament (+15% shock absorption), more comfort than a classic monofilament (+15% shock absorption) spin than conventional multifilament (+15%).
Our string test Tecnifibre Triax
From the very first strike, the string's versatility is striking. Fairly firm for a multifilament, we found excellent control for this level of comfort. The Triax also has the response to take our opponents by storm.
Hard hits go off very well, and you can find more rounded trajectories than with a classic multi.
Compared to the brand's latest multi, the HDMX, we found it to offer more control, a little more durability and a little more scratch.
Who should use Triax?
We recommend the Tecnifibre Triax string to players looking for a multi string with maximum control, spin and durability. Players accustomed to mono and looking for more comfort, as well as younger players looking for an intermediate step before switching to mono.
For what type of play?
Tecnifibre Triax is perfect for all styles of play, offering rarely seen versatility.
Where does Tecnifibre Triax fit into the Tecnifibre range?
Triax is the Tecnifibre multifilament string that offers the most control and spin. Durability is also superior. You could compare it to HDMX, which is a little closer to monofilament.

A bit confused at first regarding sensations (after years with monofilament) but I quickly found my bearings. The spin is quite good for a multifilament, good power but controllable. However, the durability is low. The string (in gauge 17 on my T-Fight 285) barely lasted 5 hours, breaking cleanly (in the middle of the frame) while the strings were just starting to fray.
