Description

The Head Extreme Team 2026, easy power and forgiveness at 680 cm²

The Head Extreme Team 2026 relies on a large 680 cm² head and a featherweight 265 g unstrung to deliver effortless power and maximum forgiveness. It is the most permissive model in the Extreme range, without giving up the spin that built its reputation.

Who is this racquet for?

It suits beginner to intermediate players who want a frame that is easy to swing and forgiving on off-centre hits. The head-heavy balance at 34 cm makes up for the light weight and puts mass back into the shot: it brings power where the player cannot yet produce it.

The technologies explained

  • Hy-Bor : the aerospace reinforcement in the shaft adds stability and a more solid response at impact, without sacrificing comfort.
  • Auxetic 2.0 : real-time feedback, so you feel the contact between ball and strings more clearly.
  • Spin Grommets and the open 16x19 pattern : the strings move and snap back freely, for spin you can reach from the very first hits.
  • Spin Shaft : lateral stability supports a faster racquet head.

The Extreme Tennis team's view

The 680 cm² head is the main argument: it forgives impacts away from the centre, which matters more than anything while you are still building consistency. The head-heavy balance does take some getting used to at the net, where the racquet feels less lively than an MP L. If you are progressing fast and already want a tighter head, the MP L (645 cm², 280 g) is the logical next step.
