Which Head Extreme racquet should I choose?
The Head Extreme range is for players who like to put a lot of spin into their game. Do you want to know which of the 5 Extreme models is right for you? We'll explain it all here.
The Tour version has a 630cm2 headsize and a weight of 305 grams which will suit the competitive player looking for a good compromise between power, control and spin.
The Extreme MP has the most versatility for the competitive player looking for ultimate power and spin.
The MP L model is more accessible than the MP version due to its lighter weight and will be more suited to younger players.
The Extreme Team racquet is suitable for the 4th series club player looking for maximum power, spin and accessibility. Thanks to its large headsize, this model is easy to forgive centering errors.
The Extreme Team L is the lightest of the range and is designed for young players switching to a first adult racket or for women who are new to tennis. It will offer the best compromise between maneuverability and power.
What strings to use on a Head Extreme?
We have chosen structured strings to optimise spin. The Solinco Tour Bite string is exceptional on the Head Extreme, it offers a tremendous spin grip, calms the power of the frame and offers an exceptional power/effect/control ratio. We recommend that you go to our strings page and filter on the spin benefit. However, on the Extreme Lite model, use a multifilament string such as Head RIP Control to provide optimal comfort on this racquet.
Head brand equipment
You can store your tennis racket in a Head bag in order to take good care of it. You should also remember to change your grip or overgrip regularly to maintain optimum feel. The use of an anti-vibrator will help to reduce vibrations.
There are 7 ranges of Head tennis rackets: Boom, Instinct, Extreme, Speed, Radical, Gravity, Prestige. Each of these ranges provides different benefits.
