Which Head Boom racket should I choose?
The Boom range offers a unique mould among all tennis rackets. It is designed for players looking for explosive power and maximum feel when hitting. It is the most accessible of the Head racquets. Thanks to its Auxetic construction, each shot provides more feel to improve confidence on every shot. The Head Boom Pro is the heaviest model at 310 grams but with a low balance of 31 cm. It will therefore be easy to handle and will offer 3rd series players power, forgiveness and feel. The MP version weighs 295 grams and has a slightly low 31.5cm balance which will provide power, manoeuvrability, comfort and touch.
Which string should I use on a Head Boom?
We recommend a structured monofilament such as Head Sonic Pro Edge to maintain power but improve spin. For players who prefer to have a good feel for the ball, you can choose the Head Reflex string which provides comfort and an exceptional feel for the ball. We advise you to apply a moderate tension so as not to restrict the racket. A maximum tension of 24 kilos is recommended to enjoy the benefits of the racket.
