X-Compare

X-Compare: our ratings, not the brands'.

Every racket goes through our machines: weight, balance, swingweight, twistweight, stiffness and more. Those readings produce 7 criteria, each rated from 0 to 100. Every model goes through the same method, so you can compare two rackets on a level playing field.

Description

The Siux Pegasus Pro 2027, precision before power

With the Pegasus range, Siux promises “power with precision”. The Pegasus Pro 2027, developed with Alex Chozas, combines 12K carbon, an EVA Hard core and a teardrop shape, at a stated 350-365 g. Siux ranks it among its firmest models. In the X-Compare lab the profile is different: it is the most precise and most manoeuvrable racket in the whole Siux 2027 collection, with a neutral balance leaning towards the handle and good comfort.

Who is this racket for?

Advanced players who build the point and prefer placing the ball to hitting it hard. Our measurements give it the highest control in the range, good spin and a lively feel in fast exchanges. Power and ball exit remain moderate: the pace comes from your arm, not the frame. Forgiveness is decent but no more, so you need to find the centre to benefit from its precision.

The technologies explained

  • 12K carbon: a fine, stiff weave that serves precision.
  • EVA Hard: a dense core for a crisp response, which our measurements find more comfortable than the Siux spec sheet suggests.
  • 3D texture surface: relief to grip the ball and work spin.
  • Optimised Sweet Spot and Switch Strap System (tool-free replaceable wrist strap).
  • 100% carbon frame, glossy black finish with orange accents.

The Extreme Tennis team's verdict

The Pegasus Pro is the control racket of the Siux 2027 range, more so than the Obsidian, which proves far more powerful in the lab. For more comfort and a more all-round profile, the Diablo Pro, the most comfortable racket in the range, is the alternative; for real power, look at the Fenix Pro. A satin Silver version exists with the same construction.
