The Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge 27, power made predictable

The Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge 27 is Fede Chingotto's pala. It is the most powerful of the three Neuron models, but its real point lies elsewhere: the whole chassis has been reworked to remove twist, so that power stays channelled and the response is the same shot after shot.

Who is this racket for?

The demanding player who strikes cleanly and wants return when the ball goes up. At 360 to 370 g, with a 38 mm profile, a 535 cm² hitting surface and a balance we measure at 27.2 cm, it is clearly head-heavy. It is also the least forgiving and least manoeuvrable in the Neuron line: contact near the edge of the face has a cost.

The technologies explained

• PrismLock: a faceted frame with prismatic geometry where every edge acts as a continuous reinforcement, spreading impact forces and removing twist in the hitting plane.
• Neuron Core: a horizontal bridge in the heart that distributes the load of the impact across the whole face and cuts vibration.
• HardEVA core: an inverted construction compared with MultiEVA, with denser outer layers for direct contact and a softer inner layer that takes the edge off the overall feel.
• X-Tend Carbon 3K faces: a tight weave of 3,000 filaments per strand, for a uniform laminate and a very firm feel across the whole surface.
• Geo Shape and Air Power: a geometric head that concentrates mass for overheads, and a widened air channel that lightens the swing.

The Extreme Tennis team's view

This is the most specialised of the three Neuron models, and it should be taken for what it is: a power pala rather than an all-rounder. The 27.2 cm balance and the very stiff chassis concentrate mass in the head, which delivers real return on smashes but cuts the margin on off-centre contact. What sets it apart from other powerful palas is the stability of the PrismLock frame: the ball goes where you aimed it, even when you swing hard. The Hesacore grip, the Ease Vibe dampeners and Vibradrive offset the hardness of the build over long sessions.
