X-Compare: our ratings, not the brands'.

Every racket goes through our machines: weight, balance, swingweight, twistweight, stiffness and more. Those readings produce 7 criteria, each rated from 0 to 100. Every model goes through the same method, so you can compare two rackets on a level playing field.

Description

The Head Extreme Pro 2026, the finisher's diamond

The Head Extreme Pro 2026 is the most demanding model in the Extreme range, validated by Paula Josemaría and Iñigo Jofre. A diamond shape, mass in the head and a carbon frame: everything is aimed at finishing the point.

Who is this racket for?

The competitive player with a consistently attacking game, who strikes cleanly and looks to finish as soon as the ball goes up. At 370 g, with a 38 mm profile, a 495 cm² face and a balance we measure at 27.5 cm, this is a heavy, distinctly head-loaded pala: it asks for solid technique and strength to be handled properly.

The technologies explained

  • Auxetic 2.0: the heart structure deforms by widening at impact, sharpening the feedback on every shot.
  • UD carbon hitting surface: a unidirectional carbon fibre layer, for stiffness and an explosive feel in fast exchanges.
  • High performance foam: the most reactive core in the Head range, built for maximum energy transfer on smashes.
  • Extreme Spin roughness: a raw 3D decal that maximises grip on the ball and spin generation.
  • Carbon frame measured at 89 RA, sending energy into the ball rather than into frame deformation.

The Extreme Tennis team's view

This is a specialist's pala rather than one for every player. Our readings are unambiguous: power at the very top of what we measure, but the lowest handling figure in our whole panel and limited tolerance. The return on smashes is huge, yet the frame is slow to reset and unforgiving on off-centre contact. If you like the Extreme range without wanting that level of physical commitment, the Motion version carries the same platform in a lighter frame. Supplied without a cover.
