Nox Equation Soft Advanced 2027, forgiveness and comfort to help you improve

A new version of a Nox classic, the Equation Soft Advanced 2027 combines a round shape, a low balance and an HR3 Soft EVA core. Among the Nox 2027 rackets we put through our X-Compare lab, it is the most forgiving and, alongside the Equation Hard, the most comfortable. It is also very manoeuvrable with excellent spin potential. Power, however, stays moderate: this is a racket that forgives and supports you, not one built to finish points.

Who is it for?

Intermediate padel players, and beginners looking for a racket that will last as they progress. The round shape and low balance centre the sweet spot and make it light in the hand, so off-centre hits remain playable. Weight: 355 to 365 g.

The technologies explained

HR3 Soft EVA: a tinted low-density rubber for a soft feel and good rebound.
3K fibreglass: thicker three-layer faces for strength and durability.
3D Texture finish: hexagonal relief in the centre and a sanded surface around it, for better grip on the ball and more spin.
Carbon frame with Dynamic Composite Structure: added stiffness, with the frame extending up to 4 cm into the face to prevent cracks.
Anti Vibration System: rubber parts built into the frame absorb vibrations. The patented Smartstrap wrist strap can be removed for washing or replacement.

The Extreme Tennis team's verdict

The Equation Soft Advanced does exactly what you want from a racket to improve with: it forgives, it is comfortable and it moves effortlessly. Control is good without being its main strength, and power is modest, so you will need to generate pace yourself to finish with a smash. Nox presents the Equation Hard Advanced 2027 as firmer and more powerful, but our X-Compare measurements place it very close to the Soft: same comfort, almost identical power, slightly lower forgiveness. The Soft remains the safer choice of the pair.
