Description
Nox Ventus Control 12K 2027: precision first, by Aranzazu Osoro
Developed with Aranzazu Osoro, the Ventus Control 12K 2027 combines a round shape, a low balance and 12K carbon faces. Nox presents it as a racket that delivers explosiveness with little effort. Our measurements paint a different picture: it is above all a control racket, the most precise in the Ventus range, with average power and a moderate ball exit.
Who is it for?
Advanced players who place the ball and build the point rather than going for outright winners. The low balance and good manoeuvrability make it quick in defence and at the net, and tolerance remains decent for a 12K carbon racket. Weight: 360 to 375 g, stated feel medium-hard. Players who want to finish with easy smashes will find more power elsewhere in the range.
The technologies explained
- Carbon 12K: vertical and horizontal carbon bands, thinner and lighter, for a stiff face and a crisp impact.
- Multilayered Black EVA: a multi-density core designed to help ball exit on slow shots and respond on fast ones.
- VCS: an elastomer bonded inside the handle that filters vibrations; Nox claims up to 56% less felt impact than the previous version. Completed by the Pulse System and Custom Grip.
- Weight Balance: interchangeable 2 and 4 g counterweights, up to 8 g, to fine-tune weight and balance.
- Dual Spin, EOS Tunnel and Dynamic Composite Structure: 3D relief and silica sand on the faces, side perforations for aerodynamics, and a frame extended up to 4 cm into the face against cracks.
The Extreme Tennis team's verdict
The Ventus Control 12K delivers on control and then some: it is the most precise racket in our whole Nox 2027 selection, with excellent spin grip. Do not buy it for the « easy power » the brand highlights, though: power stays average. For even more manoeuvrability and tolerance, look at the ML10 Ventus Control 3K 2027; for more punch, the Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtrem 2027.
