Siux Obsidian Elite 2027 Padel Racket
X-Compare
Description
The Siux Obsidian Elite 2027, easy power under a control label
With the Obsidian, which replaces the Trilogy for 2027, Siux announces a new control family: a teardrop mould sitting between the Trilogy and the Diablo, a low balance and the largest sweet spot in the collection. The Elite is its softest version, with 3K SC Comfort carbon and an EVA Soft core, at a stated 350-365 g. Our X-Compare measurements tell a different story: the measured balance is neutral leaning towards the head, and the racket clearly sits on the power side.
Who is this racket for?
Intermediate and advanced players who want depth without forcing. In the lab, the Obsidian Elite stands out for high power, one of the easiest ball exits in the range, very good forgiveness and pleasant comfort. Control is decent but not dominant, manoeuvrability is average, and with its smooth finish, spin is among the lowest in the collection. So it is not the control racket Siux describes, but a reassuring teardrop that does the work for you.
The technologies explained
- 3K SC Comfort carbon: a softer weave than the Pro's 16K carbon, for a gentle feel.
- EVA Soft: a soft core that lengthens dwell time and makes ball exit easy.
- Large sweet spot: announced as the largest in the Siux collection, which the good measured forgiveness confirms.
- Smooth satin finish: pleasant to the touch, but little grip for spin.
- Tubular carbon frame, green and blue with a large Siux logo.
The Extreme Tennis team's verdict
The Obsidian Elite suits players looking for an easy, forgiving, powerful racket without the firmness of a Fenix. If you genuinely want a control racket, the Pegasus Pro is the most precise and most manoeuvrable in the range; for more comfort and versatility, the Diablo Pro. The Obsidian Pro adds a little more control and spin.
