Description
Nox Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite 2027: a lighter Ventus for a complete game
The Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite 2027 from Nox combines a teardrop shape, 12K carbon faces and a moderate 350 to 360 g. Its measured balance is neutral-high, slightly towards the head, and its profile is that of an all-round racket: decent power, good control, very high spin grip and comfort in the upper half of the range.
Who is it for?
Advanced players with a complete game who want to defend, build and accelerate with the same racket without carrying a heavy model. Note: Nox presents it as the most agile Ventus, with a medium balance. In our measurements, the slightly head-heavy balance cancels part of the weight saving, and its manoeuvrability stays average for the range. Tolerance is decent, stated feel medium-hard.
The technologies explained
- Carbon 12K: vertical and horizontal carbon bands, thinner and lighter, for a stiff face.
- Multilayered Black EVA: a multi-density core for ball exit on slow shots and response on smashes.
- VCS: an elastomer bonded inside the handle that filters vibrations; Nox claims up to 56% less felt impact than the previous version. Completed by the Pulse System and Custom Grip.
- Weight Balance: interchangeable 2 and 4 g counterweights, up to 8 g.
- Dual Spin, EOS Tunnel and Dynamic Composite Structure: textured faces for spin, side perforations for aerodynamics, and a frame extended up to 4 cm into the face.
The Extreme Tennis team's verdict
The Hybrid 12K Lite is a good all-round Ventus, with one of the best spin grips in the range. Do not choose it for manoeuvrability alone: if that is your priority, the ML10 Ventus Control 3K 2027 is clearly quicker in hand. For a more control-oriented game on a round shape, the Ventus Control 12K 2027 is a better fit.
