For what type of game?
Wilson Burn racquets are designed for the baseline player looking for maximum power and spin. The frame brings maximum ball weight to the game. Players who like to lift and backspin their opponents with powerful balls will find the Wilson Burn range to be a great choice.
Which Wilson Burn racket should I choose?
There are a number of different Wilson Burn rackets to suit your game:
- The Burn 100 is ideal for the competitive player in the 3rd series and above who wants maximum power and impact in their game;
- The Burn 100 LS has a string pattern that greatly enhances spin and ball weighting while being more maneuverable than its larger sister the Burn 100;
- The Burn 100 ULS will delight budding young players eager to get their first adult racket that promotes ball speed.
Burn Technologies
To enhance the performance of its Burn rackets, Wilson has incorporated several technologies:
- Carbon Fiber provides greater stiffness to the racket for more explosiveness on every shot;
- The Parallel Drilling, a parallel perforation of the grommets, allows to improve the sensations on each strike.
What strings to use on a Wilson Burn?
Don't know what strings to put on your Wilson tennis racket ? On the Wilson Burn, many players appreciate strings that focus on ball control in order to offer optimal frame/ string performance. Indeed, the control of the string will help to tame the power of the frame. However, this doesn't mean that you shouldn't use power-oriented strings if your game is severely lacking in speed.
Beware of the Burn 100LS and Burn 100 ULS which have a very spin-oriented string pattern. It is best to use a 1.30 gauge monofilament string for the Burn 100LS and a 1.35 gauge multi-filament string for the Burn 100 ULS, otherwise your string will break too frequently.
