X-Compare

X-Compare: our ratings, not the brands'.

Every racket goes through our machines: weight, balance, swingweight, twistweight, stiffness and more. Those readings produce 7 criteria, each rated from 0 to 100. Every model goes through the same method, so you can compare two rackets on a level playing field.

Description

The Siux Fenix Elite 2027, Fenix power at a more accessible price

The Fenix range is Siux's power line and the racket of Leo Augsburger. The Fenix Elite 2027 keeps its architecture: a diamond shape, high balance, EVA Hard core and a claimed weight of 350 to 365 g, with 3K SC Comfort carbon faces and a sand finish instead of the Pro's 3K SC Power and 3D texture.

Who is this racket for?

Advanced players who finish points and want maximum power without paying for the Pro. Our X-Compare measurements place it right behind the Fenix Pro on power, almost level, with a confirmed high balance and good ball exit. Siux claims a softer response thanks to SC Comfort carbon, but our measurements tell a different story: comfort stays at Pro level, firm, and forgiveness is only marginally better. It gains a little control but clearly loses spin. Manoeuvrability is among the lowest in the range.

The technologies explained

  • 3K SC Comfort carbon: faces the brand describes as softer.
  • EVA Hard: a dense core for a crisp response at impact.
  • Diamond shape and high balance: mass in the head for leverage on overheads.
  • Sand finish: a grainy surface, less grippy than the Pro's 3D texture according to our measurements.
  • 100% carbon frame.

The Extreme Tennis team's verdict

The Fenix Elite is the smart pick for a flat hitter who wants Fenix power without paying for the Pro, accepting less spin. It is not an easy version though: it remains demanding. For big power with more manoeuvrability, the teardrop Diablo Elite is simpler to play; for spin, the Fenix Pro or the Electra Pro.
